Devran Shan Mustafoglu was born on February 22nd, 1985 in Boston Massachusetts to Debbie and Mike (Mehmet) Mustafoglu. Devran also has a sister, Deniz, who is 20 months younger. When Devran was 3, she moved with her family to Jupiter, Florida where she would reside for the next 11 years. Her years in Florida were filled with lots of sun, fishing, pool and beach-time.  In July of 1998, the Mustafoglu family again relocated and headed to sunny southern California!

Devran attended the Buckley School in Sherman Oaks where she was active in not only the performing arts, but also the JV and Varsity tennis teams. Devran graduated from Buckley in 2003 and headed off to The University of Southern California in the fall. At USC, Devran majored in Communication from The Annenberg School for Communication with a minor in Business from The Marshall School of business. During that time, she was also a Tri-Delta and active in Greek life.

After graduating in 2007, Devran worked for a celebrity gifting company for about a year and then decided it was time to go back to school to find her true passion in marketing. Devran attended USC’s Annenberg School for Communication’s Master’s Program from ’08-’09 and graduated with a Masters of Communication Management with an emphasis in Marketing. Devran found it difficult to get a full-time job, so her parents suggested that Emrah, a stranger to Devran at the time and also a successful Turkish-American entrepreneur/CEO of Total Beauty, conduct an informational interview with her. An executive at Total Beauty ended up hiring Devran as an intern in the fall of 2009 and helped kicked off her career as an email marketer.

Devran worked for Total Beauty for the next couple of years, finally becoming Head of Email Marketing for Total Beauty. In 2012, she left to begin her own digital marketing and email consulting business, Command Cupid.

In her spare time, Devran loves to cook, spend time with her family, do Pilates, travel, DJ, EAT (as much as Emrah) and play with her two dogs Leyla and Sheba.
